Dilansir dari Entertainment Weekly, vokalis The 1975, Matty Healy, menjelaskan bahwa lagu ini mengambil referensi dari lagu "Disorder" milik Joy Division.
Ia bahkan menawarkan hak penerbitan pada Joy Division dan mengatakan bahwa ia tidak peduli soal uang dan hanya ingin membuat lagu-lagu yang keren.
