JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Lana Del Rey memuat lagu "Brooklyn Baby" dalam album studio ketiganya yang rilis pada 2014 dengan tajuk Ultraviolence.
Dilansir dari The Guardian, Lana Del Rey menjelaskan bahwa ia menulis lagu ini sambil memikirkan Lou Reed, seorang gitaris dari grup musik The Velvet Underground.
Pada 2013, awalnya Lana Del Rey akan bekerja dengan Lou Reed dan ia telah berangkat ke New York, namun Lou Reed meninggal dunia pada hari kedatangan Lana Del Rey.
Lagu "Brooklyn Baby" menempati urutan ke-22 dalam daftar 50 Lagu Terbaik 2014 versi majalah Rolling Stone.
