Lagu ini telah direkam sejak 2016 hingga 2017, namun baru rilis pada 2020 sebagai bagian dari album K-12.
Album tersebut tercatat menjadi album studio kedua Melanie Martinez, menyusul album Cry Baby yang rilis pada 2015.
