Lagu emosional ini dirilis secara resmi pada 2014 sebagai lagu penutup dari album perdana Ella yang bertajuk Chapter One.
"Missed" pertama kali ia bawakan dalam audisinya untuk acara X Factor di Britania Raya musim kesembilan pada 2012 lalu.
