JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Band rok asal Inggris, Muse, merilis lagu "Mercy" pada 2015 sebagai singel kedua untuk album studio ketujuh mereka, Drones.
Dilansir dari Gigwise, lagu ini adalah bagian dari konsep album yang mengusung tema perjalanan manusia dari pengabaian dan kehilangan harapan yang akhirnya membelot dari penindas mereka.
Melalui laman web resmi Muse, Matt Belamy selaku vokalis Muse, juga menjelaskan, "Kalimat pembuka dalam lagu ini—Help me I've fallen on the inside— mereferensikan pada protagonis saat ia sadar ia telah kehilangan sesuatu, ia kehilangan dirinya,"
