Melalui sebuah video dalam kanal YouTube-nya, P!NK mengungkap bahwa inspirasi utama penulisan lagu ini berasal dari suaminya, Carey Hart.
Dalam acara penghargaan tahunan Grammy Award 2011, "F**kin' Perfect" meraih nominasi untuk kategori Best Pop Solo Performance.
