JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Rick Derringer adalah seorang musisi yang dikenal sebagai gitaris musik rock dari band The McCoys.
Ia melantunkan lagu berjudul "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo" yang merupakan lagu asli milik Johnny Winter pada 1970 silam.
Versi Rick keluar pada 1973 dalam album debut solonya yang diberi nama All American Boy.
Muncul sebagai lagu pertamanya, "Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo" versi Rick digunakan dalam berbagai film seperti Artie Lange’s Beer League, What a Girl Wants, dan Dazed and Confused.
