“Some Kind of Love” terinspirasi dari Tana, istri sang vokalis, Brandon Flowers, yang mengalami depresi dan kecemasan akan masa kecil yang penuh kekerasan.
Brandon mengatakan kepada sebuah majalah Inggris bahwa dia membatalkan tur solo terakhir tahun 2015 setelah istrinya mengungkapkan pikiran "bunuh diri".
