KOMPAS.com - Setiap orang tentu memiliki lagu favorit, baik dalam negeri maupun mancanegara. Ada yang menyukai lagu berdasarkan melodi atau nadanya dan ada pulan yang menyukai lagu berdasarkan liriknya.
Lirik dalam setiap lagu memiliki makna yang berbeda-beda, baik lagu berbahasa Indonesia, maupun lagu berbahasa Inggris. Lantas bagaimana cara mudah agar kita bisa memaknai lagu berbahasa Inggris?
Berikut tips agar mudah memaknai lagu dalam bahasa Inggris, yaitu:
- Analisa judul lagu
Pelajari tema apa kiranya yang ingin disampaikan melalui lirik lagu tersebut. Tema lagu bisa saja tentang cinta, persahabatan, keluarga, masalah hidup, religi, bahkan kritik sosial.
- Carilah kalimat atau kata kunci
Tidak perlu mengartikan setiap kata yang ada pada lirik lagu, cukup artikan beberapa kalimat yang menjadi keywords dari lagu tersebut. Biasanya berupa lirik yang berulang- ulang dinyanyikan.
- Berpikir imajinatif
Bahasa yang digunakan dalam lirik lagu umumnya bahasa yang sifatnya puitis, jadi jangan selalu memaknainya secara harfiah.
